    The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for the administration of benefit activities, including entering payroll benefit deductions, reconciling of invoices, coordinating plans with outside vendors and serving as a point of contact for team members. Ensure all activities follow mandated state and federal requirements.

     Essential Functions Include:

     Administer various employee benefits programs, such as 401(k) group health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurances.

    • Conduct benefits orientations and set up meetings with outside locations for explanation of benefits enrollment process.
    • Maintain employee benefits filing systems to include preparing new hire and termination reports
    • Ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.
    • Analyze and reconcile monthly vendor invoices.
    • Communicate and resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
    • Administrate COBRA, LOAs and FMLA usage and other issues as required by policy or legal requirements.
    • Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation.
    • Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up and track claims.
    • Assist HR Director in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any benefit to include, but not limited to health, life and retirement plans and supplemental insurances that benefit the company.
    • Implement Open Enrollment periods and educate employees with information to understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
    • Assist other areas of HR department as requested.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    •  3+ years' experience in HR with Benefits experience
    • High School Diploma/GED Required
    • Associates Degree in Business, Human Resources or related Field preferred
    • Must be willing to Travel when needed.
