    PBSHRM October Monthly Meeting
    October 13, 2015 11:30am-1:00pm

For the past five years, the Permian Basin Workforce area has enjoyed the lowest unemployment
rates in the Texas and the U.S. However, with the lowest unemployment rates comes issues with
maintaining a skilled workforce to address local employer needs. Now, our region is currently going
through a major workforce shift in the Oil/Gas industry with the low oil prices. Building partnerships
is key to the continued economic success of the Permian Basin for a sustainable workforce pipeline
to supply the industry’s critical need for skilled workers.
